Is there a way to make friends requests private but leave your profile public
sick of obvious scam accounts constantly trying to add me but to want to make profile private

There is not. You are part of a lot of dodgy groups and have a lot of trading friends so you're going to attract scammers regularly. Leave any high-risk popular groups and do away with all those bot accounts.

currently, no. making your profile private may not change anything. you are in a lot of public groups and some of them have a lot of people in them.

you can make your inventory friends only or private. not sure if that will help any
