I got scammed by CRAZY VIKING for a few tf2 items
Yesterday I received a friend request from a guy called CRAZY VIKING from Norway on steam(one of his old aliases were paul allen). After a few minutes he told me that he would like to trade team fortress 2 items, so he send me his steam inventory so I can look and choose what I like in his inventory so we can trade. I saw lots of keys, expensive hats, and every australium weapon. He told me, he liked a taunt for scout, but in return he will give me six keys. The c*nt told me, he was scared of being scammed, because he was scammed with items worth 300$, and told me to add a steam employee so everything will be more sure and save. The guy I added was named Brandon from Wisconsin, USA, with profile picture of a guy with obviously his wife on a vacation trip. Brandon told me to make a group with the insane Viking and Brandon so we can trade. Brandon told me to send my URL so he can make the trade, and everything can be more save. Brandon send a link for a trade by “authorization” ,which I wasn’t aware that was a literal account and not a steam authorization, because this had to be my second trade. After giving my taunt, I received a trade for a few other Items. Brandon said we both have to give an few items to the authorization, so everything can be more save. Brandon said he knows that those items are important to all of us, he will have them only for 4-5 minutes, so he can check their validation. After a few minutes that d!ck Brandon asked me from which sites I have those items. The fact was I only had them from the steam market, boxes, and tf2 shop, but Brandon said there was an error in the authorization and my items won’t be given to me if I don’t pay 50 keys from mann co. Store, and I will get permanent ban only because of the error. After I got suspensions that I am scammed, they both blocked me and didn’t saw them again. The problem is that I didn’t know they were scammers, because I have my steam only for 11 months and I traded only one time a nice guy. And my question is how can I deal with those scammers, or if there is someway to recover my items, or if someone can help me. I’ll upload a few images of the scammers and the chats so you all can be aware. ✌️

Report via their profiles.

Items that have left accounts are not restored for any reason.

In the future, trade everything in one trade. There is no need for a middleman.

Steam does not return stolen items.

What trades should I avoid?

Do not trade for anything that cannot be added into the trade offer itself. The most common examples of these scenarios are the following:
  • Trading items/gifts for money outside of the Steam Community market. You cannot add Wallet credit, PayPal, gift cards or any form of money into the trade offer.
  • Trading items/gifts for CD Keys. You cannot add a CD Key into the trade offer. CD Keys that are offered can be for a different game, fake, used or region restricted.
  • Trading items/gifts for nothing in return in the first trade and expecting to get an item or gift in a later trade. There is no reason to not trade everything in one trade. You may add unlimited items/gifts to a single trade. A common example of this is using a middleman to facilitate a one sided trade.
