Is there a way to fix the slow movement in diagonal steam input?
I know this is an old discussion and the answer would be to change the analog stick to square, but is there no way to keep the circular analog stick and be able to achieve 100% in diagonal games? Even though the square "corrects" this problem, it has a much higher error rate than the circle, my control goes from 0.1% error in the circle to almost 20% error in the square

For those who don't understand, if you leave the stick configured as circle, things like moving your character or your camera in diagonals become much slower, as if it were only at about 70% of the speed it should be.

Try Generic setting and stop use PS layout if you dont have a PS controller.
i think i have seen some steam user explan own Generic input as Solutions in the past, that might be what you are looking for.

Steam has done alot of change over the year in controller and design, even from unplug them and make sure usb auto configuration get its auto configuration added again for usb device.

Maybe its more like over 2 years with improvent or grieff depend on who you ask here.then something do not work anymore.


They have change alot see steam settings and controller option, it did not look like that 2 years ago or more.

I don't use the Ps standard, when I use a standard it's the Xbox one since my controller is the Gamesir Cyclone 2, it happens that when I disable the steam input some games don't even work, but when I enable the steam input I'm forced to leave the controller with the square analytical configuration, otherwise I can't access 100% of the diagonal input.
