Need genuine help regarding gift cards!!!
My friend sent me a 50 USD gift card recently,50 USD = 36 GBP,thing is,before i accepted it i had nearly 13 GBP on my wallet, but after accepting i have 36 GBP,like if the previous amount i've had got taken away somehow! Now,i want to clarify something,i have short memory sometimes and didn't check how much exactly i got from the gift card,so maybe Steam just has some untold fee on gift cards whenever you send those to a different region? Or maybe it DID actually nullify the previous amount i've had? I want to know, has this ever happened to any of you before? Is it some fee on gift cards or does it take away the money? Please,i need genuine help,i'm losing my mind and currently afraid to activate any gift cards!!!

UPD!!! I just remembered that gift card indeed stated to have the amount of around 24 pounds or so,but that still makes no sense!!! The gift card option lower than 50 USD is 25 USD,which is only 18 pounds, and i got around 24 pounds from a single gift card, meaning it was a 50 USD gift card indeed! So,is it just Steam having fees on gift cards now?

Steam does not charge fees on gift cards, no.

They're basically 1:1 money transfers.

But how could this be? It couldn't be a 25 USD gift card because 25 USD is 18 pounds, and i had 12 pounds,12+18=30,but i have 36 pounds right now! It couldn't be exactly 50 USD either, because 50 USD is 36 pounds! There's no other option inbetween 25 USD and 50 USD,so how could that happen???

Sounds like your short term memory issue you mentioned in your OP mistook the balance you had before the gift.

Okay but explain how i went from 12 pounds to 36 if 25$ = 18 pounds and 50$ = 36.
Check your purchase history.

All it says is "Conversion" and exact amount i have on my wallet right now, which is 36,which couldn't be achieved if it was 25$,which also couldn't be possible if it was 50$ since you said "it has no fee" and since 50$ is 36 GBP.

So, you didn't have 13£ before you received the gift.

Your purchase history stated otherwise.

I was not mistaken by what you copy/pasted here.

And conversion is not a fee. It is a direct exchange from USD to GBP.

It literally gave you the 36£ for the $50 card and that is what your balance currently is at.

Where did you get an "untold fee" from? It is the amount that was given to you.
