Why Steam saving versions in games
Because Steam only has the last option available, countless games have been lost due to accidental overwrites, such as syncing a previous game and overwriting an advanced one.

You assume game devs made a game thats dont have bugs and exploits, that as never game devs vision, and you also end up with, what if game is already know it's broken but you do not know this yet, you are not there yet in the story line.

We are not here to defend game devs, but we have seen games is unplayable, and sometime worse, game devs has left the publisher. ( so technicaly you play a game that dont work. )

I even want to say maybe they should be remove from steam so other dont buy them.
