Library issues
Hi,
I have been having some weird issues. At some point I launched steam up and it showed half the games that I owned as not being installed even though their files were all still there. I hit install on every one of them and all steam did was a verification and then showed them as installed. I thought all was good, but now trying to play those games is causing issues. The most notable are star wars battlefront 1 and 2, and space engineers. In both battlefront games, they get stuck verifying their files, and then never launch. In space engineers, when trying to pull up worlds from the community, it would be stuck loading, and on the steam page it showed it was downloading stuff for space engineers, but at speeds that were way too slow, at 200kbps, vs the 200mbps I usually get.

I am running a custom PC with windows 11, a 1.9 tb storage space and 256gb nvme for windows, AMD 5600x, AMD 6600xt 8gb, 32 GB of memory. I do not have an external drive.

I have tried:
Completely reinstalling battlefront 2
Verifying all of the three games
Repairing both libraries
Sfc /scannow
Running the games as administrator

Any ideas?

Did you use something like crysal mark to check for issues with the drive(s) you're installing the games to? If Steam 'forgot' the games were installed it's possible there's some corruption on your drive which could also cause installs to fail.

I downloaded crystalmark retro and ran a test, but i didnt see anything in the results about drive issues.
