  • Trust nobody.
  • Don't accept random friend requests, and if you do, don't trust them at all.
  • Keep all your Steam trading activity on Steam and Steam alone. All third party trading/gambling sites are scams.
  • Learn how the scams work. If you know how they work, you'll recognize an attempt when you see it and you won't fall for it.
