i cannot get my ps5 controller to work on almost any game. i tried my 8bitdo m30 2.4g controller and that didn't work either (yes i set the buttons correctly).

to be exact if i got into settings -> test input the controllers are detected just fine but almost no game will see my controller

i use pop-os

Things I've tried
- disabling steam input
- disabling overlay
- disabling both works in **some** games with native ps5 controller support
- different proton versions
- tricking the game into thinking my controller is a xbox controller worked but the only script i could even run was buggy to an unplayable degree
- ds4drv - might work but nothing i do will make it run
- sc-controller - doesn't run
- I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the distros ps5 rules using modprob and rmmod
