Refund denied despite game being unplayable – Ubisoft couldn’t fix NAT Strict issue
Hello,
I purchased Ghost Recon via Steam, mainly to play online co-op with friends. Unfortunately, since day one, I’ve been unable to access multiplayer due to a constant “NAT Strict” issue.

I contacted Ubisoft Support and went through all recommended troubleshooting steps (port forwarding, UPnP, DMZ, router and firewall settings). After several attempts, Ubisoft Support confirmed that the issue could not be resolved.

I submitted multiple refund requests to Steam, but they were denied due to exceeding the 2-hour limit. However, most of that time was spent trying to troubleshoot and test the multiplayer — not actual gameplay.

Furthermore, a friend of mine in a different city, using a different internet provider and system, bought the same game and encountered the exact same NAT Strict problem. He also contacted support, and his refund was approved.

This shows the issue is not limited to my setup and may be related to the game’s servers or design. Given that multiplayer is the main feature I bought the game for — and it has never worked — I kindly request a manual review and exception.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

Create a manual refund ticket.

https://steamhost.cn/help_steampowered_com -> login -> scroll down -> enter the name of the game or DLC in question -> view receipt -> I have a question about this purchase

Write your inquiry thoroughly and in a formal and courteous way, explaining the issues you face, the request for a refund and to where you wish to refund (wallet or the payment method used).

Please note that it will be granted or denied on the Steam Support agent's discretion and that the decision given that way will be final.
