Clearly I'm an idiot, little help please.
Firstly if I'm asking this in the wrong place don't shoot, I surrender.
I had Skyrim Anniversary Edition in my library for ages and then at some point I removed it. I don't mean uninstalled it, I mean actually removed it from my account. How and/or why I did this I have no clue and I don't really have much more than the vaguest memory of doing it, not entirely surprising to me given my years I guess but that's not the point. The point is I can't re purchase it so as to fix my earlier idiocy, when I try I'm pointed toward Steam Support which leads me down a blind alley of limited options, none of which pertain to my issue. If anybody is willing to baby step me through this I'll be forever in your debt, if it's even possible that is.
TIA

Note its pretty difficult to remove a game from an account. As you have ot make a ticket and ask support to remove it.

Also note that Skyrim has sort of changed a lot. You're likely looking for the "Special Edition" as that's the base game. The "Anniversary" is a DLC

Maybe it's just hidden.

Do you have any games hidden?

If you are still missing any games, check to see if any have been added to your hidden list. You can view this list by selecting View > Hidden Games at the top of the Steam client.

To remove any game from this list: Right-click the game > select Manage > Remove from Hidden.

Their post history, though limited, shows they don't seem to own Skyrim Special Edition. So its not hidden assuming that's the version of the game they're missing. Skyrim has had so many different editions its honestly confusing

Okay.

I think we'll just have to wait for OP to respond now.

Thanks so much, this did the trick. I can now install the game again. I'll hold off on running out the bunting until I'm in game again but I'm hopeful. Thanks again
