Friends list question
Friend had an ex-friend from years ago pop up on his friends list recently. Said he doesn't recall adding them.

Not on Steam a lot but it looks like there's no way to recover a deleted account or deactivate. So then this person couldn't pop back up on his list that way, right?

Any other way this could have happened besides him or someone on his account having added the person recently?

Possibilities:

1) Didn't recall, as you said.
2) Old request that was just accepted.
3) Account was recently recovered.
4) Is it really them, or another account on the Friends list impersonating them?

If they aren't desired, they can always be removed from the Friends list.
