Purchased key, developer then illegally invalidated the key after purchase before it could be redeamed.
A while back I purchased Drift Streets Japan from Fanatical.com. Yesterday I attempted to activate the game in steam. This resulted in a duplicate key message. I contacted Fanatical.com support whom informed me that the developer had invalidated the key. They also informed me that all of their spare keys had also been invalidated. The game itself is still for sale on steamhost.cn, so it is still a valid game and the developer or publisher should be able to provide a valid replacement key.

Could anyone provide contact information for the developer:JDM4iK Games
or contact information for either of its publishers: SA Industry, or BATYSTORE LTD

Thank you very much in advance. I do want to note that I have been very happy with Fanatical quick help in this matter.

However, I am very much displeased at this involuntary conversion of my legal license key allegedly by the the developer, JDM4iK Games.

If you bought a key from a 3rd party site, you have to deal with them. Nobody here is going to have that information, short of Googling the information which is something you can do yourself.

Also, how long ago was "a while back"? Fanatical's own website say that developers sometimes revoke older keys if they haven't been used yet. Maybe you should have activated the key right away instead of sitting on it for some unknown amount of time.
You need to talk to Fanatical about it.

Thank you for your time in replying. I have talked to Fanatical as mentioned in the original post. Additionally I have googled the companies in question. If you don't have the contact information then there is no need for you to reply. As Valve Corporation is continuing to sell the game, they must have contact information in order to pay the publisher.

I disagree with your implication that since the key was not redeemed earlier that it is okay for the developer / publisher to retract it.

Thank you for providing helpful direction. I agree and I have been in discussion with Fanatical. From what they have informed me, they too have had keys invalidated.

I've posted here after failing to find contact information and to let others know of the actions allegedly conducted by this developer.

The purchase was through them, it is their obligation to satisfy their customer, you by issuing some type of credit or partial refund.

Nobody from Valve is going to reply to you here. It's up to you to figure this out with Fanatical since Valve isn't the one that sold you the key.

Also, read Fanatical's FAQ. There is a part where they say that some developers have been known to delete old keys if they haven't been redeemed. If you had redeemed it right away the key may have still been good, or at least still within 60 days of purchase when it could be replaced.

I have not asked anyone from Valve to reply. I simply put the situation out there 1.) in case another steam user has had a similar issue with this developer, 2.) warn others of this issue, and primarily,3.) to try to get in touch with the developer to see why they they invalidate not only my key the the whole reserve that Fanatical has for this game.

The article you link to frankly describes a different situation, where a key has a known redemption deadline.

To be frank, you keep going on about how this situation could have been avoid if events had been different. You keep insisting that one should redeem keys quickly. There are very reasons why one does not necessarily do that, but I'm not going to get into a debate about such practices.

I do not know why you are reply with the same message. As far as I can tell you have made your point.

It's fanatical's fault in this case. They didn't do due diligence to verify the key was bought legally (which they usually do). Either get a refund from them or chargeback.
