For the past week since the recent update, COD was loading only up till the screen saying "Loading player stats" and Would freeze on "Loading messages of the day". After uninstalling and reinstalling COD and Steam using Valve Tips, Validating all files etc. I now can't get any further than Steam itself. i.e. Pressing green Play button to Launch the game, after a couple of minutes it goes back to green PLAY button. The game flashes up in my Task Manager then disappears. I'm trying to avoid doing a fresh install of Windows as I don't have a disk so can't keep my files and other programs. However every issue I've had to date after COD updates I've been able to diagnose and sort without touching my Windows System and nothing has changed besides the recent COD update. So I'm at a loss atm until I find something else to try. Anyone experience the same or similar?
