Scammed 3 days ago 13th July
Hello everyone,

I would like to share this unfortunate story with you about my account inventory scam and how it happened.

I was sent a faceit link to join someone who has tracked me,played with me and carefully chose me to be his victim. The guy kept on messaging me for a few days to join him and when i finally agreed he sent me the link that was so realistic, after i logged in, nothing happened immediately.
I joined a cs2 game and right away he started contacting me obviously from my account with profiles that claimed to be steam support and he sent me HTML modified texts or whatever that looked as if an admin only can text you like that. I was scared as i sosnt have experience on what to do but this dude kept on blackmailing me with a perma ban and account closure.

He managed to trick me and make it feel like they are blocking ny account because someone else logged in and they needed to verify me and forced me to buy a skin and trade it to him. I lost 300$ on top of the whole of my cs inventory. I contacted steam support and nothing can be done.
However today i woke up and a friend of mine hyped me up and he told me that i can now get back or cancel the trades since they were made less than 7 days ago, with the new feature rolling out.
I went to the trades that were only made 3 days ago and i can not do anythijg about it. Ah and i did not willingly give it to the hacker, im sure the hack was integrated within steam because he kicked me out of my game, blocked all ny friends and deleted the game from pc all so quickly and i was asked to choose a friend that i trust to give him the items, upon the trade i literally saw the profile picture and the name of my friend in the trade, on steam web the name still shows but on steam platform the nane is empty however the account still has my friends profile picture.

I would like to know from this community if anyone has experienced anything like this before, im devastated as i really have some few skins from dear fiends of mine and yeah…

No.

Which trades are reversible?

Only trades that were created as Trade Protected (displaying the yellow Trade Protected item shield) can be reversed. Trades prior to this option's availability cannot be reversed and cannot be modified by Steam Support.

you might still want to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Ensure your email address and/or password aren't contained in any public breaches. There are various sites that allow you to do that.
-- If they are contained in any public breaches, change your email account's password from a secure computer before proceeding.
-- If that happens, you may want to secure other accounts than just Steam.
-- Consider using mobile two-factor authentication on your e-mail address if your e-mail provider supports it.
4. Deauthorize all devices INCLUDING the one you are using (You will have to relog after you click it): Steam -> Settings -> Security -> Deauthorize All Devices or https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
5. Change passwords from a clean computer
6. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
7. Revoke the API key https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
8. Change your trade link: Profile > your inventory > trade offer > Who can send me trade offer > scroll down and make a new trade link.
9. If points were stolen within 14 days, reset your Steam password (not change, RESET using Forgot Password) to cancel pending awards.
10. Once you have done all of the above steps, edit your profile to get rid of the fake message planted by the scammer (if it exists).

Making random comments throughout Steam is not how you level any Steam badge. That was changed numerous years ago.
You could do a stop payment ith your bank for that 300 dollars and file a fraud report with them.

That will get the steam account banned.
