Steam deck narrator
I need help

I put my steam deck to sleep for a break and I come back to turn it on and now it's narrating everything I'm doing like scrolling pages or settings and I can't find where to turn it off

Edit: turned it off but now I have no audio

Same thing happened to me just now. Restarting / putting in desktop doesn’t work either, everything I do is still narrated and my controls are like half working.

Update: was able to stop screen reader mode by disabling in game mode settings. I had to use an external controller.

But now the steam shortcut menu is stuck on the screen and I can’t collapse it. The UI underneath is moving fine with the controller…

Maybe the bug is that the steam button is being permanently held down?
