Ideas to find my next 'niche' game or 'fun' game?
So I occasionally browse the steam games and always see same games on offer to try but rarely find a game i'm interested in buying. I'm pretty picky lately what games i 'try' not sure what games i'm really looking for. Sometimes I just want to find a game that feels somewhat special to me. I been kind of wanting a game that plays a bit like 'space food truck' and has a sort of cartoony look. doesn't have to be same kind of game 'card game'. I might be interested in 'puzzle' games or space exploration games. or might go back to a game in my current library. I'm feeling that there are a special few games on steam that are challenging and fun. just finding those games are my main challenge. I feel as if I'm at an end of a road and can't find my next 'special' game.

Try inspect other people profile and chance are good if they have same games as you do they also have other games you did not know, or games you will never know was there.

There are many games like that you are playing, for me its like a theme hospital made by Bullfrog way back, and other has made semi same games like little big workshop

To match current game i will say cosmonaut, but it also look like you want other spinoffs.

The list is to long for games thats is fun and not a ordinary 3D shooters first choise.

You need to dig in Adventure, IMO how deep you want it i dont know but then you through in RPG or Strrategic ( Then AI or script will not understand what it is you looking for.

Any gamers that play a station or build colony/space ship will tell you list is to long.

i will not ruleout days of tentale, it dont fit your choise other then cartoonish,
and maybe also what you seek maybe.

ps.
start to inspect ppl , if they have aopen profiler for inspirations in things you will never know was made.

( even i get a laugh stacker or other games made with clay papir or games like

to go further on this discussion. I think i would try searching friends games for a few days cause unlisted games might be found that way maybe even find more friends that get into similar games i play and see what games they enjoyed. i'll look at the ones mentioned here then explore my steam searches a bit differently. I think i'm also looking for games similar to 'rimworld' but maybe a bit mellower on combat side. you can kind of play easy settings on rimworld and change to more challenging as you want. im not sure if mods are the answer for rimworld. that game made an impact on me but felt too complex for my thinking and enjoyment. there's too many games like factorio and thats about the best one i been hearing. of that type. rimworld kind of sees another part of it. being an outer space like development game. kind of like the quality games but kind of like a more laid back environment. i think space is my main niche and i like trains and sea exploration and trading. but i kind of lean towards a more peaceful environment. i think my main problem with steam searches is I'm not finding my true niche which is what i mentioned. so i try study my active neighbors on steam and see what they been playing.
