Steam doesn t let me buy games
So yesterday I tried to buy three games, but a message appeared saying [error could not complete your purchase, please try again later, if this continues happening contact steam support]. At first I thought the card was off or that there was no balance, but no, everything was in order. Then I thought it was the bank, but no, that wasn't the case either. Next, I tried to check if it was my internet connection, but there was no problem. Then I contacted steam support, but they told me that the card I used is not from the region where I live. The thing is, I have used that card thousands of times on steam where I am now, I don't know what is happening.

what region is your account set to?
what region are you actually in?
what region is your card for?

3 questions, all should have the same answer. if the answers are different, you may want to explain why they are different.

The point is, is your MC linked to your home address in Guatemala and with a bank/CC provider based in Guatemala (your answer makes it sound ambiguous).

Assuming the answer is yes, if you're using the client try using your browser, and vice versa. You could also try doing it through the Steam app on your phone, rather than your desktop.
Steam have messed up by the numbers and are having issues with a large number of payment systems, its not just you. Paypal seems to be down for almost everyone right now for example.
