[SOLVED] My game will not run.

Hello I am having an issue with my final fantasy 9. It was working fine but now when I try to launch it, it says that the executable file is missing
I have tried all the tips they asked and on youtube like verifying files, deleting the appcache closing steam on task manager then opening it again, restarting my computer and none of it worked.

So I went to the game folder where it is supposed to be install and when I tried to open it with administrator it says:
- "Windows cannot find C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY IX\FF9_Launcher.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

I have no idea how to fix this issue, does anyone know what to do because the steam support doesn't allow me to make a ticket when I try it just takes me to the game forums which doesn't help.

Sounds like something on your computer is deleting it. You can try disabling your anti-virus and than redownload the game.

Steam Support wouldn't be able to help any way. The only handle account and billing related issue. Support for game falls on the game's devs.

Check your anti-virus software, it has probably quarantined it. You might have to make an exception to run it.

I tried that before there wasn't anything there.
I also tried the disable anti virus just to be sure before I reinstalled the game and that didn't help

Make sure you have 200gb free at any drives. ( this is know as windows can do a recoverry, and will try recover free space and deal with files thatt cause issue in NTFS table, same as FAT did.

Most past windows use have learn not to use last 10% at drives ,but that was remove then drives went past 2TB you cant use 10% ata a 10tb drive, thats the problem here.

i will also go with the AV app qurrantine issue already explaned, but we otrher will not keep repeting same reply.

i only know 2 things that can do this crash issue or AV app,

I'm guessing here as I don't play the game, have you checked your registry for any leftover key?

A word of warning, making changes in your registry can have unforeseen consequences. If you don't know what you're changing, I would advise leaving it.

I only have 500gigs of total storage and currently I have 111 gigs of free space so I have over 10% free storage.

And I don't know how to use the registry editor so I won't try and do anything there.

the other issue is then system get issue and automatic try recover itself doing bootup, also indicate a out of free storage space, and why last 200gb is a issue, and next gen game with 150gb installation already push the edge in 200gb free space is not enough anymore.

now its after DL + still have 200gb+ so your 11gb is already in trouble red lable on drives information bar ( small disk do not help, you cant use 10% rule at a 500gb boot disk
then most games is 100gb depend on what most think is common DL size , but anyway

games like BGIII do say you need way more free storage space then that. that game is 150GB, this is the point.

small disk size is dead with next gen games.
