Need help with trading from my inventory
I like to trade a few things from my inventory, but I don't get this 15 days on hold. It tells me that I have to use the authenticator to skip the 15 days on hold. But I don't know what this means. I already set up the authenticator in the steam app on my phone. I also used it to log into my account on the PC. But it keeps telling me that I have to use the authentificator. I'm a bit lost now don't know what else to do

When you activate the Steam Guard on your mobile, you account will be put on a 15 day trade and market cooldown.

This is a Security Precaution to ensure that if you get hacked, the hackers can't change your Steam Guard and steal your items. They will have to wait for 15 days to be able to do it.

So it's a way for Steam to let you be able to get control of you account again within the 15 days.
You have to wait until the 15 days are up when you activated the Steam Guard.

I highly recommend you activate Steam Guard through with your mobile device:steamthumbsup:

I came here wondering the same thing. I have used authenticator in the app for years it seems. Did a trade today and it has a 15 day hold. It says if I used the authenticator, which I do, that it would not have a hold. But I do use it so why do I have the hold?

Edit - Just had a thought. Maybe the person I traded with isn't using the authenticator app?

Yes i have the same problem. I also used the authenticator the past 7 days, still the items I want to sell are on hold
