Steam says Not Connected, can't connect to game servers
Steam says Not Connected but I'm able to download games and browse the store.

I have cleared the download cache, reinstalled steam, rebooted my computer, and completely disabled windows firewall but it still says Not Connected.

This issue just started after a power outage but I dont think that the local IP changing would cause this?

This can happen if Steam's connection to the friends or matchmaking servers is blocked, even if downloads and the store work. Try launching Steam with the -tcp launch option to force a more stable connection protocol. Also check your router settings for any unusual changes after the power outage, especially related to NAT, UPnP, or IPv6, resetting the router to default settings can sometimes fix hidden conflicts.
