Can't cancel a paypal chargeback
Hello. Recently i bought a game but it seemed to me that paypal or steam doublecharged it. I sent paypal a form to ask wether it was double charged or not, but it didn't let me to select the double charge anymore. Instead i put that out of the 60 euros i payed for a game, 1 euro was the issue simply to be able to write my paypal ticket

Low and behold, paypal returned 1 euro and steam blocked access to the game until the dispute is resolved, however paypal refuses to cancel the charge back.

I also can't refund the whole game anymore either, so if i can't resolve this, i lose 60 euros and my account stays banned for 30 days.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Contact steam support if you have been double charged https://steamhost.cn/help_steampowered_com/en/

Unfortunately the one downside to paypal is that they do not reverse charge backs, so you will need to find another form of payment for future purchases on steam.

That payment method will be blocked by Steam and will not be able to make purchases.

I contacted both my bank and my paypal and they both deny being able to reverse a chargeback as its considered added balance in my account. Both services are asking me to send the money directly to steam but steam support refuses.

Chat, did i mess up ?

Yeah paypal is well know for not reversing charge backs. Paypal will forever be blacklisted for use on your account now. You are going to have to use another method of payment in the future such as credit/debit card.

What you should have done when you noticed the error was to contact steam support first, they could have corrected the error. When a charge back is issued steam have to pay a fee. Which is why when a charge back occurs that payment method will be block until it is reversed.
