HELP! Suspected Malicious Content
Why have I been banned? It simple, a user (NOT ME) in the CS2 community was threathening EVERBODY (valve, us president, steam users etc), claimed to have cp and all sorts of things, my posts were removed by a Staff Member and I got banned. Once again I state that MY POSTST ARE NOT LINKED TO THAT USER AND THAT THE STAFF MEMBER MADE A HUGE MISTAKE! I want compensation and unban! I did contact Steam Support in regards with this issue when I first noticed that my posts that were not even related to CS2 forum dissapeared (ex: a request for help in the Help and Tips forum) I received ONLY 1 community message that said:

"Content removed by a member of Steam Support — 46 minutes ago

Content you have posted has been removed by a member of Steam Support for violations of the Steam Community & Content Guidelines.

Community Content Removed:
Comments

Please review the Community & Content Guidelines.

Here is the other message with the perma-ban:

"Your Steam Community privileges have been permanently suspended for violations of the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

Trading, inviting, editing your profile, uploading content, commenting and otherwise interacting with the Steam Community have been disabled.

Ban Reason:
Suspected Malicious Content

You exposed your login credentials:
a) Either by logging into a site that faked a Steam login and made a bot log into your account using the save password as well as the trust device feature while injecting a Steam API access into it.
b) Or by installing malware that stole your session data or injected a keylogger.
c) Or by using outdated login information that got exposed in a leak.
d) Or by falling for a Steam Support impersonation scam on Discord or similar platforms.

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Ensure your email address and/or password aren't contained in any public breaches. There are various sites that allow you to do that.
-- If they are contained in any public breaches, change your email account's password from a secure computer before proceeding.
-- If that happens, you may want to secure other accounts than just Steam.
-- Consider using mobile two-factor authentication on your e-mail address if your e-mail provider supports it.
4. Deauthorize all devices INCLUDING the one you are using (You will have to relog after you click it): Steam -> Settings -> Security -> Deauthorize All Devices or https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
5. Change passwords from a clean computer
6. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
7. Revoke the API key https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
8. Change your trade link: Profile > your inventory > trade offer > Who can send me trade offer > scroll down and make a new trade link.
9. If points were stolen within 14 days, reset your Steam password (not change, RESET using Forgot Password) to cancel pending awards.

After you secured your account, contact Steam support to appeal the ban as it has been placed to protect your account from further damage by its compromise.
1. Scanned the device, nothing found
2. I did, I use email for SG, only got the emails from when I tried to log in into the steam browser
3. Checked and nothing
4. Did that
7. When I try to access the API page I get this error message (browser since on the app I cannot seem to be able to search for that link)

Sorry!
An error was encountered while processing your request:

An error occurred getting your account information. Please try again later.

8. Did that
9. No points were stolen..

I am still waiting for steam support to answare my request.

I BET both of my berries that the Staff member just had a brain fa*t and banned me.. If that is so, I will go further with this since I can prove my innocence.

Thanks for the reply :)

it's an automated ban. Steam support can take several days up to a week to reply for legitimate ban appeals.

the issue in # 7 is fine if you don't use SG mobile

Thank you again for taking the time to reply. The issue comes form that user (which is already banned), the Staff member removed multiple comments and threads that I made with the only community message being that a certain comment was removed, nothing else, no direct link to the discussion or context.. No other messages from community like: ban reason or headers in any forums warning me that I got banned, I had to restart steam to get that red bar next to the inbox, it has 2 of the same type of message Suspected Malicious Content since I saw 2 posts made by that user in the CS2 forum.. Bro, if that Staff member banned me accidentally.. GET SOME Fing GLASSES.. but if it was intentional I will pursue legal action since I did not make those posts and that the community message did not specify what type of content was removed.

Also, keep in mind that multiple commnents and theads were removed and no community message was issue for those. The issue is that the "Community Content Removed:
Comments" does not specify what comment was removed, transparency 0!
