What do people gain from profile comments?
Seems to be alot of people begging for +rep or comments in general, is it to look nice for traders?

Mostly for scammers to try to look legit.

It's a e-peen thing. Y'know, if you want u got a tiny PP and feel bad about yourself, getting comments is a means it feel better about oneself.

Considering my account's from 2003, 500 comments is very little.

Also, I don't ask for comments which is actually the most important metric. It's line being cool: if you force it, you aren't.
