Trade hold lasting over 2 months despite active Steam Guard — need clarification
Hello,

My Steam account (mastis2101/mastis) has been unable to send or receive trade offers for over two months.

I activated and authorized my current device with Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator on May 15, 2025. From my understanding, the standard trade hold in this case should last a maximum of 15 days, meaning it should have expired around May 30, 2025.

However, it is now August 3, 2025, and the trade hold is still active. I have not made any recent password changes, email changes, or other security actions that could have reset the timer. My account is fully secured, and all logins are performed solely by me.

Could a moderator or Steam Support please clarify:

1.Why is this trade hold still in place?

2.How long will it remain active?

3.Is there any way to have it lifted, considering my account has had Steam Guard enabled for months?

Thank you in advance for any help or guidance.

Best regards,
mastis

Moderators do not have that kind of power, and there is no Support in the forums. You need to submit a Support ticket for someone to give you a definitive answer.
looking at the name history, you have a big problem and not being able to trade is a good thing.

your account may be compromised
DO NOT TRADE
If you have access to the account

Steps to take NOW to secure the account:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

all 3rd party sites are USE AT OWN RISK. Anything happens - account stolen or compromised - steam support will only return the account. any money or items that leave the account are not returned regardless of who was in control of the account.

take the security of your account more serious. if you dont care about the security of the account, then you clearly dont care about the money or items on the account. dont come back later when bad things happen and whine. you made the decision, you get to live with it.

If that is your account name you posted, you need to remove it. never post that. and your account name and profile name should have little to NOTHING in common. learn basic account security.

stop advertising 3rd party sites using the name/avatar, it has NEVER been allowed. when support resets your name/avatar, the account gets a cooldown preventing you from making changes. 3rd offense is a 1 month cooldown, and it keeps getting longer each time they have to step in.
