Refund Assistance Request — Health Condition Exception (Cyberpunk 2077, 44 mins playtime)
Hello Steam Community and Support Team,
I’m reaching out here because my refund request for Cyberpunk 2077 (Order ID: [133534449762054776]) was declined through the normal support ticket system, despite my special circumstances. I kindly hope to receive some assistance or guidance from moderators or higher-level support staff regarding my case.
I suffer from severe motion sickness, which makes it physically impossible for me to play first-person perspective games. I tried adjusting all possible in-game settings, but after only 44 minutes of playtime, I experienced intense dizziness and nausea, forcing me to stop playing.
Additionally, I faced performance issues (stuttering, frame drops) even though my PC meets the game’s minimum requirements. These technical problems further worsened my condition, making the game unplayable.
I fully understand Steam’s refund policy (14 days and under 2 hours), but my request is based on genuine health and technical limitations. I am not asking for a typical refund; rather, I am hoping for a one-time exception due to these unavoidable issues.
I’ve submitted my case multiple times through tickets but received template responses referencing policy limits. As a loyal Steam user, I kindly ask if a moderator or senior support staff could help escalate my case for further review.
If a refund to the original payment method isn’t possible, I am also willing to accept a refund to my Steam Wallet.
Thank you very much for your understanding and time.
Kind regards,
Max

No support here. This is a user forum.
yeah this is not steam support and they do not read anyting here so you are out of luck ;)
Automatic refund looks at two criteria: WITHIN 2 weeks of purchase AND with LESS than 2 hours playtime. Both conditions MUST be met and why your refund request is failing.

You can try a manual refund via "I have a question about this purchase" and a human will check your request but it is discretionary and you are not guaranteed a refund.

Explain why you are requesting a refund exception.

As you have noted in your opening post.

I personally would avoid 1st person games in the future.

But it's the terms you agreed to.

Within 2 weeks purchased previously, AND with less than 2 hour playtime. That's for the automated refund.

Outside of that you can always amend your ticket and give your reasons as to mitigating circumstances. But remember, this is discretionary - if they refuse, that's the end of it.

Remeber, ignorance of rules is not a defence.

Go back to the purchase and instead of selecting "refund", choose "I have a question about this purchase" and explain what the issue and that you are asking for a refund exception. Hope that they give you one, but if they still decline you then that's your final answer. Good luck.
