Someone made community market purchase on my account without me knowing??
So as the tile says I just found out I lost 24$ to some random community market dota 2 things anyway to get my money back and secure my account?

Your account is compromised.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. If you don't have a malware scanner use https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/dev/apikey

Steam does not return inventory items or wallet funds.

Steam Item Restoration Policy

Steam Support does not restore items that have left accounts for any reason, including trades, market transactions, deletions, or gifting.

All purchases are final – you will not have any right to a refund or a reversal of any Community Market transaction once it is completed.
So I'm just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and lost 24 dollar then
Welp I'll try to resell the stuff when I can and if I can and then I'll try and find how this happened. Any way for me to know the origin of how they were made?
Also what does change password from a clean computer mean? Like go on a secondary computer that has nothing on and change password?

You have to find out how they got access to your account.

  • Have you been asked to vote for a team/tournament/pixel art?
  • Have you been asked to register for a tournament?
  • Have you used any third-party site for gambling, trading or matchmaking?
  • Have you logged in on a public device?
  • Have you entered any giveaways/giveaway groups?
  • Have you tried to claim any "free 50$ gift cards"?
  • Have you been contacted by someone (through chat or Discord) about an issue with your account?
  • Have you been "accidentally reported"?
  • Have you been invited to a "playtest"?
  • Does someone else use your PC or your account?
  • Do you use any browser extensions (like Steam Inventory Helper or CSFloat Market Checker)?

"Clean computer" means any computer that has no malware.
Alright thanks for the clarification

No to all except steam inventory helper(should I get rid of it?)
And for public device I assume anything other than my main computer?
I'm sad about this but thankfully I'm pretty sure all the item are re-tradable so at best I'll lose like 3 bucks just have to do everything and become paranoid for a few months

I don't really know how this happened because I never received anything and was never locked out of my account or anything truly weird

All third-party sites and third-party browser extensions are use at own risk.

They can not be trusted.

Any computer that can be accessed by other people (e.g. a computer in an internet café). Malware is often installed on these computers. Never enter your Steam login details when using such a device.
Yeah no I keep to myself and I have only been at home
Really wish I could do something with the confirmation number from those fraudulent purchases since they are on my account but I understand steams stance I'm just coping rn
