Mouse sensitivity changes when a controller is connected
When I connect a controller, the mouse sensitivity changes.
I don't want the mouse sensitivity to change even when I connect a controller, but I don't know where to set it.
Please tell me how to set it.

First try check mouse brand driver and software, replug all usb device, if that dont help check PC for board BIOS driver , that mean usb controller drivers that might be part of chipset ofr not sometimes they have own driver from brandboard support.

And yes you can have a interference issue , but most will say what has mouse and game pad to do with each other, ( do check controller brand drivers also. )

longstory short, even i had a mouse i could hear scroll in speaker that make click noise, and it was PSU issue, see how crazy it can be sometimes.

ps.
warning some games detect a controll will switch to that device, even a 3D shooter you sdtart play with mouse keyboard, im sure you can geta laugh of this, but mine was a MS flightstick, and im sure most games will not play a shooters with a flightstick.ever, so game devs is actual the issue sometimes then they do such automatic.

feel free to unplag controller and see if problem do not solve itself. or steam controll settings give you issue now.

Thank you for your reply.
I've checked all the drivers and even tried reinstalling Windows.
It still hasn't been resolved, so I'm wondering if it's a Steam setting.
Normally, mouse sensitivity doesn't change even when a controller is connected, right?

Yeap most here will say never ever, but we all know how interference issue can cause odd behavier. yes they are rare, sometimes not even repeteable ,but in your case it is after you reinstall windows, so yes you have intyerference issue but with what.

You might already have think its a steam settings issue.

Unplug controll as a test.

You have multi issue most only yhink on mouse and its controller

You also have software and its driver + board usb controller, and its chipset driver + BIOS

So many thing most will not think on here.

+ cable dagae maybe, ( parakit ( bird ) like bite at things, pet's issue, i only mentions this so you dont ruleout, ifyou have such.

i also rememebr gold hamster eat cable as then i was a kid. ( point is test with other mouse is not a crime ) mouse do not have a report internal issue, they either work or not.

ps.
someday they might have such if weight is low enough, but atm they are seen a dummy device.

Mouse sensitivity returns to normal when exit the game and disconnect the controller. (It does not return to normal if you simply disconnect the controller without exiting the game.)
There is a game that I want to be able to play with both a mouse and a controller, so I want to control it with a keyboard and mouse while keeping the controller connected.
There was no damage to the cable.

if mouse software has a reset option to default try that.

You are not the first pc user that might havce click a top button to increas or decreas a scroll speed or mouse speed issue.

ps.
just beware that pro player can and will see mouse tear down issue alot more frequent, they dont give mouse lifecycle 2 cent anymore. you can buy expensive or cheap mouse and quality swings at both ends, it's not that simple.

Feel free to test with other mouse. ( i bet you know a friend with a mouse. ) for testing

Thank you.
I haven't actually tried resetting the mouse settings to default.
I can't check right now, but I'll give it a try.
