If you purchased CoD on Xbox, would you expect it to work on a PlayStation? No you wouldn't. Same logic applies here.
Epic and Steam are separate companies and digital storefronts. When you "buy" a game on one launcher, you are purchasing a license to play it through that company's platform. These licenses are not interchangeable, and there is no official tool or process to move them. You would have to buy Kerbal Space Program again on Steam to own it on that platform.
However, there is a very useful workaround that will allow you to launch and manage the Epic Games version of KSP through your Steam library.
How to Play Your Epic Games Game Through Steam
This method lets you take advantage of some Steam features like the in-game overlay, controller support, and showing your friends that you are playing the game.
Open the Steam client and go to your Library.
At the bottom-left corner of the Steam window, click the "+ Add a Game" button.
From the pop-up menu, select "Add a Non-Steam Game..."
A new window will appear with a list of programs on your computer. Find Kerbal Space Program in the list and check the box next to it. If it's not there, click "Browse..." to manually find the game's executable file (the .exe file that launches the game).
Click "Add Selected Programs."
Kerbal Space Program will now appear in your Steam library. When you launch it from Steam, it will still use the Epic Games Launcher to verify your license and start the game, but you'll be able to use the Steam overlay and other features.
