i have been trying to download the same game for the last 3 weeks and everytime it gets to 99% percent it says corrupt update files then it completely restarts the download all the way from 0% have tried watching some youtube videos but not a single one help in any way.

Are you on Windows 7 or 8.1?

R U updating a game? Or downloading a new game?
Close all background programs- games- delete Steam downloads cache first
