Blocking an account by region "without changing the region"
A couple of days ago the payment didn't go through, after which I contacted Steam support and when I asked why it didn't happen, I got a ban for changing the region that is on the sanctions list.
But I didn't change the region, because of a geolocation error in Steam itself, which doesn't apply to me. When I asked support, my application was simply closed and that's it. Is this normal? I've had my account since school and now it's being blocked for something I didn't even do.
I thought about filing a lawsuit, but it would cost more than all the games on the account. It's easier to create a new one, but is it normal to get banned for something you didn't do?

What country are you physically located in?

Give a link to the account that is banned please.

Here is my account, direct link is not available because access to information account is closed due to blocking.

I am in Ukraine and have not changed the region for more than 4 years.

I could be wrong but isn't Ukraine still under sanction?

No, it is not located, as through Steam the region was determined to be in Russia, and for this reason the account was blocked. But the region in which I am located and did not change it is not included in the list of sanctions.

Did the account formerly use Russian Rubles?

No, I am in Kharkov, but when I tried to pay for the product, Steam identified my region as Crimea, which falls under sanctions, and as a result, blocked it. But before that, I changed my Internet connection through a mobile operator that correctly identified the region and the payment went through. That is, the problem is either with the Internet provider or Steam does not display the region correctly.
No, I did not use rubles, and the payment was made through a local bank in my region.

you should appeal the account termination with evidence of your permanent location of residence.

Place of residence, where I am registered passport details? Yes, I wrote to support again. I did not find information in the user agreement about what needs to be submitted in such a case. Okay, I'll look now. That does not open support from this account, it is new.
Nobody here can assist you because nobody here is from Steam support. Only Steam support can issue and modify any bans / restrictions in place.

Go to the below link to appeal your case. You will likely have to provide official government ID to prove your location. If you can't do that for some odd reason, it's unlikely they will remove the ban.

Go here https://steamhost.cn/help_steampowered_com/en/wizard/HelpWithAccount

If Steam won't remove the ban, then you're out of luck. Steam Support has the final say at all times. Nobody here can help you.

Yes, I'll try to do it now. It's just that the first request to support was simply closed without any information. Although I can provide them with my data, it won't be difficult.

The Steam discussions aren't the right place to dispute specific bans. We encourage you to contact Steam Support. I've locked the thread as appealing via those methods is your best route forward.
