Steam Client can't connect to internet without a VPN. Browser connection unaffected.
I moved to the Chinese mainland (used to be in the US then HK) and used to be able to connect and play normally in the mainland both with my VPN on or off, but for the last week or so turning the VPN off disconnects me from and prevents me from connecting to the servers ONLY on the client. I can still connect to the browser normally and login without a VPN. I have no idea what might be causing this issue since it wouldnt be a firewall or ISP problem. Anyone heard of something like this or a potential fix/troubleshoot? At the moment I am guessing its some adapter or network setting, or something wrong with a cloud/file cache.

Okay nvm the problem was that I had a "meta tunnel" adapter that I needed to disable
How come you dont know other Country has other laws and rules on alot of topic, you can get in alot of trouble for not knowing. ( make sure you seek information about it )
