Steam download extremly slow?
Is it just me or are the steam downloads crazy slow. I have a 1 GB connection and started downloading Dota. Came back 50 min later and it was at 50%... In that time I should have been able to download around 350 GB but I only got 12...
Anyone else having major issues with steam being crazy slow?

916.67 Mbps. Its not my internet. I download WOW a few days ago, which is way bigger than dota, and it was finished in like 30 min.

75 min now and I am at 74%.... its giving me 1% per minute.
Thats a download of 35 Mbps or around 4% of my possible download speed

100 min for 25 GB.... what a pathetic joke

Im having the same issue. Changing download region and restarting the Steam client temporarily fixes it. They told me that it was an unpacking issue within the client. I am searching for solutions too.

If Steam is the only site that's intolerably slow for you, and it stays intolerably slow no matter what download server you use or what time you do the transfer, your ISP is probably throttling Steam.
