Clip background audio super quiet
So ive had this issue for a few months and ive tried tons of options but no matter what i do, background audio like discord calls are super quiet in clips, like drowned out even by game audio quiet. This didnt use to be a problem til i assume some update to steam's clipping feature, if theres something im missing any help would be appreciated :rl2sit:

Using windows 11 24h2 update? There is a isssue with audio on it.

ok so im on windows 10 and my audio drivers are up to date to my knowledge, and this is a thing on steams end i think since i had a clip from december where my friend's discord audio was crystal clear and the correct volume, but now its quiet and hard to understand

Are you sure it is not discord's issue? Did you ask their support and confirm this is a issue on steam? I would first ask on discord help since the issue is happening with them.

Have you experiences this issue when using youtube or steam chat? If not, then no, this is not a steam issue. This is a discord issue. Ask their support.

Youtube audio is also very quiet, so im not sure whats the issue with steam clipping

Have you found a solution? Since I reinstalled Windows, the sounds from apps like Discord and Chrome (YouTube) are quiet, even though game audio and my microphone are at a normal volume.

it fixxed itself this time but i know sometimes steam oddly makes multiple instances of discord and chrome and you gotta check each one in steam's recorder options
