Sales events are partly done to test new features or spread awareness - badges, trading cards, discovery queue, trading ...

I am farily certain that it will be part of the library refresh. Probably with certain filters as they are used in the other tasks.

I would love this as a regular feature. With a big library one can spend all night trying to pick something to play instead of just playing.

I have nothing to say against it. And anyone who knows me knows that's saying something . Heh heh

Sure why not if people want it? But I have never had any problems knowing what I want to play at a given moment tho.

i want it to stay aswell , sometimes i know what to play ( like right now Final Fantasy X and the naruto games ) but very often i just have a large pile of games , i now picked the phantom breakers game since it was one of my shortest games on howlong to beat but the feature on steam would be awesome

same , i also want steam to do more daily/weekly/monthly tasks like "beat 5 games on your pile of shame

and if you complete it you get a full card set for the game to craft 1 badge

or at least it can help picking a game to play , doesnt need a reward

Big Picture Mode already sort of does that, as in it recommends you games to play.
It wouldn't suprise me if the feature got ported to the main Steam client.

I have a big enough library as to struggle at what might I be interested in playing from my backlog.

but sadly big picture mode isnt as good as the normal mode
