Stop Counting Removed Games for Average Completion
I know this is a minor thing for lots of people but it's something that irks me a bit.

If you remove a game from your Steam account the average completion rate is still impacted by that game.

I removed games from my account that are no longer able to be played such as "Mobius Final Fantasy".

Even if you wanted to complete it, the game is removed from Steam and the online servers(required to play) have been shut down permanently.

Would love to see this removed from the Average Completion Rate on Steam profiles.

You can't "un-play" games. That's why the stats stay.

Right. With the current system is still counts.

I am suggesting that it shouldn't once removed from the Steam account.

Why? So you and others can play games and if achievements too grindy or difficult you can remove them to keep completetion rate high....Just play those on a different platform. Not like it'd prevent people seeing that you'd be manipulating you profile to keep it high. May aswell use SAM

1. I don't cheat. You may, but I'm better than that.

2. If you read the post you would understand why this is an issue.

Its actually not an issue because "removed games" arent actually removed. They are still there waiting for you to re-invoke the license.

Games don't get removed from the account, they simply get hidden. "Permanently" removing a game is indeed nothing other than an advanced hide. The stats remain on the profile, as they're earned. And since it's an average completion rate, it's only logically that it factors in all games played.

Personally I don't see an issue with that.

Right...that's why it's an issue.

Games that can never be played again are still impacting the completion rate. This is essentially promoting the use of achievement cheating software. Screw that.

I know this is a minor topic. Just doesn't make sense to leave it this way.

1. I don't cheat. Point is the same you're essentially trying to cheat your stats by removing games you have NOT got 100% in. Hence why I suggested you could just use SAM as it'd have the same result. People will be able to see you'd be manipulating data to show a higher completetion rate

2. I have.

If you had seen some of my previous comments over the years you;d know that. Or if I didn't have a private profile you could see that. I have several games where I'm missing 1-3 achievements to 100%.1 being linked to 50+ Tasks on a list where 1 requires sdomething be done x times and to even attempt it you have to wait till dusk, 1hour + as no way to change time all because I didn't achievement hunt before clocking the game. Can't be arsed to replay the whole thing again, it's not that good.

Another game has 3 for for doing A/B/C x times. I clocked the game and done every other achievement besides those 3. the previous 3 achievements were do A/B/C y times. y =10% of X and I'm not playing the game for 10 times longer than I have to get some grinds. Achievements like that are why I never bought the definitive edition nor the sequel

Fact is whether it by SAM or something Valve implements what you want is a way to manipulate/cheat your game data in the way you want. 2 different methods for the same outcome

No. It's. not.

A. Game. That. Cannot. Be. Played. Anymore. Still. Impact. Players.

This. Promotes. Cheating. Like. You. Suggested.

You missed the point. Removing a game does NOT remove it. It's nothing more than an advanced hide. You can restore it exactly the same way you 'delete' it Thus you CAN and always can play said game as the license is permanently tied to your account

It's a you issue because you either can't achieve an achievement, for whatever reason, or don't want to. None of that detracts from the fact you'd be manipulating data to only show what you want others to see. Makes me think of all those that use social media posting all happy and edited image updates whilst they are struggling, miserable and thinking of killing themselves. Be YOU, Accept YOU and show others YOU

What in the ♥♥♥♥? You are thinking way too deeply about this crap.

Games that cannot be played anymore. Ever. Should be able to be removed without impacting profiles. Period.

Or it teaches people to accept reality for what it is. Sometimes you can't get everything, that's part of life. At least that's how I see it.

What is the value of an average completion rate when you can remove things so you can get your desired %?

Why treat any medical issue? You can't always get what you want. Don't fix things that are broken.
