Allow ignoring more than 100 curators
So I currently have 100 curators on my ignored-list--not because I don't want to see any curators, but because there are a *lot* of low-quality curators and Steam apparently has no interest in curating those curators--and now when I try to ignore more curators (there are just *so many* to ignore!) I get an error saying that I can't ignore a curator I already follow.

So, 1.) that error message shouldn't be lying to me: if the problem is "you can only ignore 100 curators" the error should say so, and 2.) you should at the very least let everyone block arbitrary numbers of curators.

With that cap lifted, so long as so much abuse runs wild in the Curator tab, it's still an antifeature, but issues with moderation throughout Steam are a different matter. Lifting a cap seems like a much simpler scope.

Yeah. The curator/developer/publisher ignore/follow combined limit is pretty small these days.

sincere suggestion from one who feels i can relate to this problem, yet do not have the particular problem: don't use curators? curate your own?

there just aren't that many ggs coming out. if u are into a certain genre, any worthwhile title will make its way into your field of view sooner or later, without curators.

I don't use Curators to point me towards new titles, but I find it helpful to skim the list for a given game, especially because there are some really good single-issue curators in the mix (e.g. pointing out which titles have Denuvo, abusive monetization schemes, and so on)

I agree, ignoring only 100 curators with such a massive amount of developers and publishers on Steam is simply not enough.
We need a lot more.

Valve should be aware of this, since many people have reported to have contacted support because they couldn't ignore (or follow) more creators and then were told about the limit.

Why this limit simply hasn't been increased is beyond me.

Even more irritating is that this limit is shared with Developers and game creators too, not just the annoying click bait "curators." Steam sucks so much these days with all the chinese child pornography game suggestions I can no longer ignore, the "creators" that churn out endless low quality clones and copies of games to scam game keys, the studios that churn out garbage mobile-like free to play but pay to win games, It takes actual hours to find a decent new title to buy these days. Almost to the point it's not even worth it to use Steam anymore.

Curators only show up on 2 parts of the website. Once on the main page where you can easily scroll past it.

The second one is only shown if you click on an additional link on a store page.

Don't waste your time blocking them all because it's quite literally a waste of time. You can easily ignore them.

It shows up on the entire Steam store. Curators include developers and publishers and ignoring them also marks their games. It's useful for filtering the store and it's great for reminding you that a game is made by a company you wanted nothing to do with.

I use curators to know which games I'll never purchase

Actually I was wrong. It's not even on the main store page anymore.

So then, the only place you'll ever see it is when you go to a game store page, scroll down to just before the reviews and there is a "WHAT CURATORS SAY" and you have to click on View all or the "Here" link on it.
You have to go out of your way to find them now.

Yes they are useful tools when you want to filter stuff out or look for certain stuff. But people who hate them and block any that they spot do not care about that.

Did you miss the part where marking a developer or publisher also affects the games that are displayed on the store? You can go to their page by clicking on their name on the store page for a game. You don't even use the system, why are you commenting on something you know so little about?

I am actually subscribed to 3. But all 3 of them are inactive. Ignored 10 of them.
On store pages they still show up on are the only ones that I will ever see a curator on.

But my point still stands. Stop bothering blocking every last one of them. It's a waste of time to do it and you're better off just scrolling past it.

Marking a developer or publisher? Do you mean blocking them?
If so, why are you surprised their games are not shown anymore? People have literally asked for such feature.

Are Curators still an issue like that?
I mean they've been less in your face so I don't even bother blocking them with a skin anymore.
But regardless of that. OP. No m,atter what number is chosen people gonna complain that its not enough.

Might be better to just ignor curators entirely from a mental point.

They really should clean house on the curators, most just have these stupid one word or one sentence quotes that are useless in determining anything about a game

I've ignored those, Curators who own multiple pages and just copy/paste their review of the same game and the majorly bigoted ones.

In case you don't know, this isn't just about curators, publishers and developers count towards the same limit if you follow or ignore their pages, and franchise pages (Warhammer, Star Wars, etc) as well.
