Scams, spam, offensive, copyright protected...
I thought of 4 in just a couple seconds.
1. Earrape
2. Random/Annoying noise
3. Bodily noises (burping/farting)
4. Sexual sounds or seductive messages 🤮
5. Threats/harassment/swearing
6. TTS spam
7. TTS Scam messages
8. AI impersonations
9. Scams via AI imersonations
10. Copyrighted music
Those are just specific misuses of the feature, I bet there are way more ways this could be abused that U haven't thought of and hopefully will not need to come up with or face.
Strongly veto this idea and anyone else with value for their ears and sanity should as well.
A few more, yeah.
Exactly, especially the ones with Scams or copyright infringement.
Also number 4 could be really bad if the targeted users are under 18 😬.
More people would buy soundtracks then steam makes more money I can have a jaunty tune play when I'm checking out my profile.
Win for all.
Except neither Valve nor the users have broadcasting licenses for the soundtracks and would be sued to hell and back the moment first track was broadcast without proper license. Broadcasting licenses cost arm and leg so doubt Valve would be interested.
Listen pal I didn’t ask for a lawyer I’m just throwing ideas out there.
It's because those definitons of 'funny' that so may things are not allowed.
