Mark a game as 'played on another platform' without ignoring it
I think it would be great to be able to mark a game as played on another platform without adding it to the ignore list, as currently needs to be done.

It would be nice to allow games I play elsewhere to generate recommendations in the Steam store, but not have them removed from the store because they are ignored. I still want to be able to see those games in the store as, for example, I might still be inclined to buy them again on Steam if they are on sale, or I might want to use them to look for similar games that are on Steam.

This might be asking a bit much, but they could even, for example, be listed in the library as 'games played elsewhere'. It might even make people more likely to buy them again on Steam if they're reminded that they enjoyed playing the game on a different platform.

Already an option.

Next to "Ignore" is a little arrow. Clicking on the arrow shows more options, one of them being "Played on Another Platform."

Yeah, bit this hides it from the store. What I mean is to separate the two functions so that marking it as 'played on another platform' doesn't ignore it as well.

I know, but then you also see the items that you want to actually ignore. My suggestion is that the two functions (ignore and played on another platform) are isolated into separate things.
I suppose you could put it on your wishlist. I don't think it hides ignored games there.

Add a collection called "Games Played Elsewhere" to your library, stick the games in the collection, don't open collection again until you want to see something.

Everyone tries to gaslight OP into thinking he doesn't need the option he's requesting.
That is a very good request and I would like to have it, too.

If they are gaslit from a topic from over a year ago then they have more issues then marking games as play on another platform.
