Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a 4-player co-op action game set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world.
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed.
Killing Floor 2 - 6 player co-op or solo play— A multitude of varied playable characters await for players to choose from as they enter the fray in online co-op mode or solo mode for those willing to brave the horrific specimens alone
It would be good if the tag was "X player co-op", Ill agree with that
As for "outrageous" curb your drama.
Here are some examples of games I've played that can be played by 5 people simultaneously in co-op:

Took all of one Google search to find this. If you don't want to ask, odds are someone else has already.
For Mars First Logistics, the store page includes this text:
I apologize for being in the wrong forum. I thought this was a "suggestions and ideas" forum. But now I see that this is a "things are very bad and will never get better" forum.
I don't understand what's so difficult to understand about unless you're intentionally being argumentative.
Also, I'd like to apologize for me and several others attempting to find solutions to a problem you told us about. Apparently that was uncalled for and we should have just ignored your thread if we knew that the information you were requesting was already available.
Typing a name into Google for each of the tens of thousands of Steam search strings is not finding a solution to a problem. Trying to silence someone over a classic "bucket of crabs"* moment is not helping. Steam is a business that provides services for my money. And since there is a "Suggestions and Ideas" forum here, I don't see anything wrong with making SUGGESTIONS AND IDEAS to help make the service better.
* - just google it.
You'll find many helpful people on these forums who try to resolve issues people have with using Steam. Of course milage may vary on how useful it is for any one individual, but since the forums are public, it's helpful to have that information available for anyone else who may come across it.
Most people are appreciative of the efforts. I know I have been helped and found some very good information in this manner. Of course you are still free to do you. But, perhaps a bit of friendly advice from someone who hosted suggestion forums in the past: those ideas are taken more kindly by those to whom they are directed when there's more honey in the attitude than vinegar.
I really think Steam is a good platform. But I also think that Steam is missing a couple of basic things that could make Steam many times better. That's why I'm here. I write suggestions in the suggestion forum. What could go wrong... Perhaps someone could think that I am a very evil villain, but I am just ordinary human meat, not an AI. I tend to feel emotions. SORRY. Steam is godd. But community... Community never changes....
Oh I finally understand. Apparently, instead of using the steam client functions, I should write to this forum every time I need to find a new game. Then there will definitely be dozens of caring people here who want to help me find my way to Dota and Reddit.
Suffer then.
What's the harm in having it mandatory to put the max amount of players possible (with out mods obvs) somewhere on the game store page? They already show whether it's single player or co-op, and stuff like languages, controller info...
If it helps someone make a quick purchase, why not? If I was a developer I wouldn't want someone to overlook my game because the only info they can find is inconsistent.
The issue is that it's going to take time to implement, and that's if Valve decides it's worth the time to develop and document it. And even after that, the developers will have to update their store pages to add that information to the new field, so there's probably going to be a great deal of multiplayer games that don't have that field filled out for years after it gets added. If it gets added.
And that's not taking into account how difficult it might be to give a single number or range of numbers for how many people can play a game together. A lot of multiplayer games have multiple game modes with different player count requirements. Others don't have a hard limit on player count but have increased system requirements as the player count increases. OpenTTD doesn't technically have a limit on players, but it does have a limit on the number of unique colors available for companies to choose.
A game can say "you can usually have 1-8 players" in the proposed field, but you're still going to need to check the description to know what that actually means. Like most things, it's going to be complicated. And if you want the information now rather than later, your best course of action is to find a game that looks interesting to you and just ask if the information isn't directly stated on the store page.
