[Suggestion] Bring performance metrics to the desktop overlay.
Steam deck has this in portable mode, would be very useful in desktop mode without the need for 3 rd party performance metrics.
If you wanna stick to your old apps that's fine, there are just certain circumstances where i can only use steams overlay, so having a more robust set of performance stats embedded into the desktop overlay would help a lot.

The performance metrics keep getting turned off in Settings.

Valve, I tried searching for threads on this but since the search function shows results from ALL discussions I picked the one that was most relevant and near the top because I'm not digging through all subforums in the results since there's no way to filter search results.

Now who wants to bet they come here and "lock this thread because it's quite old"?
