They couldn't. It was scrapped and buried into the legacy graveyard according to Steamworks documentation.
1 DDK equals 0.13 EURO
1 DDK equals 0.15 USD.

Safe to say, your currency isn't worth much to be added as a separate region right now.

The Turkmenistani Manat has a higher chance of being added than your currency.

So like the Lira, the value dropped fast or was very unstable and was dropped as a supported currency.

Why not drop NOK then, NOK is worth less than DKK.

As far as I know the DKK is stable and has always been.

That said, DKK has never been used on Steam, the real reason for that are EU and euro.

The NOK is higher ranked on the currency list (Much higher than the DDK), so it may have a larger player base to make up for the lower value.
There is a difference of 36 places.
So the NOK must have something that the DDK doesn't.

Valve thought about it back in April 2021, but they never made it happen. The EU and Euro were the reason it was dropped before it even made it onto the platform.

Don't hold your breath while waiting for it to happen. Why not pay in euro, just as easy.

No it's not like the Lira, the Danish currency are not allowed to be of higher value due to the EU

1 DKK is about 1.57 NOK
1 NOK is 0.09 USD
1 DKK is 0.15 USD
so no the NOK is not stronger than the DKK

You gotta love it; this right here is the absolute epitome of your average Suggestions / Ideas reply. You have zero clue what you're talking about, but you are sure that it "must be" despite not even being sure why it is. But it most certainly is that way, for no other reason than you said so.

The DKK follows the euro market and is as strong as the euro because of EU, there’ll be no DKK market and only conversion between the currency. Norway is not in the EU so the NOK has its own market. Your lucky guessing and confusion was right tho, the NOK is has less value than the DKK

Valve cannot go against EU law and get danish nationals better prices while excluding other EU member citizens from the better offers, even if the DKK exchange rate is bound to the Euro.

As Denmark does not enforce DKK use for the sale of goods online (contrary to countries like Poland), Valve decided to use the Euro instead.

Using the Euro as pricing for danish nationals is therefore the legally safest and easiest to maintain option.

And the Swedish Krona is worth 0.67 Danish Kroner…
Where has the world gone to where Swedish is worse than Danish?! I can't make jokes about myself being worse than a Dane! That's like illegal by Swedish law! :P

The same person argued that Poland isn't in the EU. Sometimes, it's best to just ignore someone's posts.
