you need to do better Steam
the current state of steam is embarrassing.
- App is pretty much down every day
- Pathetic discount sales
- Pathetic or non existent quests badges (unless you pay like 120 dollars lol)

tell us, what's your problem? I'm pretty sure is not money, what's happening? is steam deck is generating loses?

They had unscheduled maintenance today. It hasn't been down every day.

Valve does not set the discounts.

Seasonal badges can be obtained free.

Steam Deck sold multiple million units and that was back in 2023...

Now that Steam is in a monopolistic position they don't need to put in the effort they once did. Customer service and experience becomes less of an issue when price parity clauses in contracts allow you to set the price of games on your "competitors" site.
Steam (Valve) is not forcing discounts on Dev's, so it's up to the Dev's / publishers to decided how much they want to discount the games, and there are plenty of games both big and small that gets discounts between 50% and 90% doing the big sales events

They don't, they only force devs to sell steam keys at the same price as they are sold on steam, keep in mind that Valve already loses out on the sale of steam keys sold outside of steam

But no, it's not. Hell it doesn't even go down that long when it does.

exactly, I always hated when people started crying for competitors, a monopolistic system is always bad, and we are having a poor customer service

Nintendo could push out a ♥♥♥♥ and call it the next pokemon game and it'll sell millions in presale alone. Having a built in audience/fanbase will do that.

Apples and oranges.

And yet, two days (and not for very long on those days, mind you) isn't even close to "pretty much every day".

Nintendo has been around far longer than Steam has and has a gaming environment of its own that players love to jump into that you can't get to from Steam. The Steam deck selling millions is still a great accomplishment.

Either way, your points have already been refuted as exaggerated or incorrect.

No, preceded by.

Engrish people. Speak it.

Valve literally started back up the handheld PC market. They have now branched out with branding other handhelds with the SteamOS branding.

That is a major success.

Steam typically undergoes scheduled maintenance every Tuesday, usually between 6 PM and 9 PM Eastern Time. This maintenance can cause disruptions for users, including difficulties accessing the store, community features, or launching games

So that is every week nothing new have been this for years hope you learn someting new
