OS Filters for Dynamic Collections + Auto-Filter Option When Logging in from New Device
Problem Description:
Currently, Steam lacks a convenient way to quickly filter games in your library by operating system compatibility (Linux/Windows/macOS). Users, especially those who use multiple OSes, have to manually check each game or rely on third-party tools.

Proposed Solutions:
OS Filters in Dynamic Collections
After creating a dynamic collection (Library → Collections → Create Collection → Dynamic), add new filters:

"Linux Only"

"Windows Only"

"macOS Only"

And combined options:

"Linux + Windows" (excluding macOS)

"Windows + macOS" (excluding Linux)

etc.

Use case example: A Linux user could create a "Linux Games" collection to see only verified Linux-compatible titles (not including PROTON functionality).

"Show Only My OS Games" Option on First Login
When logging into a new device (or after OS reinstallation), Steam could offer a setting:
"Would you like to hide games incompatible with your current OS? Your system: [Linux/Windows/macOS]"
This wouldn't remove games from your library but would simplify navigation for users who don't want to see unavailable titles.
The option could be changed later (Settings → Interface/Library → Library Filtering).

Why This Would Be Useful:

Saves time: No need to manually check each game

Relevant for multi-OS users: Many owners use hybrid libraries

Reduces confusion: macOS/Linux users often see games they can't run

Improved convenience

What do you think, fellow Steam users? Would you find these features useful? Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions to improve this idea!

Oh this was really annoying right now. Using my laptop on the go and installed steam, had no easy way to see which games that would run and I could install. Had to click every single one to check manually.
