policy to let people know about added software coming with the game.
Hello !
I couldn't find a better title while keeping it short (which it already isn't lol) but the idea is this :
if a game is going to install some software (usually anticheat) I think it would be helpful to have a disclaimer for this, also detailing what type of behavior the software has.
eg: special mention for software that will run 24/7 in the background, launch on startup and won't uninstall when you uninstall the game.
afaik these programs always ask for your authorization to install so all it takes is an online search to decide whether you're OK with it or not, but 1. i'm not sure everyone will bother doing an online search and 2. that's only after you've downloaded the game, so while it's nothing too bad it's still a bit of a loss of time !

The games typically inform you of anticheats on the store page. When the game isn't running they also tend to not run unless there's an error and it couldn't close properly.

Do you have an example of a "24/7" always running software from a game?

Let me check my libraries of more than 1000 games from every era of video gaming .....

Nope, not a single one.

Let me check my extensive software collection.......

Hmm, nope not a single piece of software not specifically designed to run 24/7 like anti-virus and such. Plus not a single piece that will launch on start-up, unless again it is specifically designed to, or I tell it to. And not a single one, out of my 3000+ piece of software and game collection cannot be uninstalled.

ah they might sometimes, but i know for a fact they don't always, so it's probably not enforced ^^
also i think some quick details about the software behavior would be nice i think, again ti's not such a big deal because you can always look it up online when prompted to install said software and decide for yourself, i just think it'd be a cool feature to save users the downloading time of the game (because the additional software install prompt only shows up on first game launch) and also help the people that don't take the time to look up what's being installed on their computer.

as for examples even though i don't engage a lot with the types of games that have these, yes, i do have a few examples that present at least a few of the characteristics i described in my OP (or all), off the top of my head :
1. most famous one probably, RIOT vanguard
2. according to my online search Wellbia(.com), that tried to install when i wanted to try chrono odyssey beta test just now.
3. pretty sure it's the case for the gaijin client too. for example if you try to play crossout, but i'm pretty sure it must come with all gaijin games.
4. was the case for NARAKA bladepoint when i tried to play it back then.

there must be thousands more examples out there honestly ^^

Cool. So surely if you haven't encountered any (or didn't notice) then it must not exist right ?

that's definitely nice, exactly what i was thinking about !
I will however make the point that it doesn't appear to be enforced as a bunch of games don't have these disclaimers while absolutely having additional software bundled with the game.
you can check crossout, chrono odyssey or naraka bladepoint steam page for example.
I will agree that for details on the software's behavior maybe we can leave it to the user to look it up online, which is definitely facilitated if you can get the name of said software listed on the store page, as showed in your example, that way you don't have to download the game to know.
it simply would be cool if that kind of stuff was systematic (enforced) imo.
