I think the Points Shop could use couple new features:

There are previews for avatars, frames, backgrounds etc but they all are showing the default profile and not *YOUR* profile, spending 2000 points on a background which you thought would look good but doesn't fit at all after you apply it just because you cannot see how it actually looks on your profile is frustrating.

Also, as someone who regularly likes to fiddle with their profile looks i think it would also be convenient to be able to straight up buy the Points Shop points.

(Giving you more points than you get from spending money on Steam Store or other purchases, obviously.)
