That said, it's not the awards that ruin the discussions. It's people. It's always people. Don't blame the tools/features, blame the asshats who misuse it.
People make more and more topics because they want it addressed. No one wants to go through clutter forums full of bait topics just to find a few one or two topics per page that are worth investing any time in. This is why a lot of people just go to other forums that are properly moderated to remove the trash or discords.
Who wants to go page after page of topics like this on practically every forum they frequent?
