Give notice when a subscribed mod is removed from the workshop
There should be a notice for when a subscribed mod has been removed from the workshop without the end-user having done so.

Sometimes mod authors get a stick up their ass and nuke their mod portfolio, or a mod is purged from Steam for one reason or another. Giving notice that a subscribed mod has been removed without user action would help remove the guessing game on figuring what mod suddenly went missing and bricked a save.

This would be an excellent feature.

This is a good suggestion for a change.

And that's precisely why I adore games that allow also modding from the "outside". No, it's not elegant ... but once it's in your possession, no petulant little artist can snatch it away from you when they're feeling precious ...

It is honestly shocking to hear that Valve is in the habit of automatically yoinking workshop content off your computer that is pulled without cause.

The workshop authors do, not Valve. Unless it was DMCA'd.

Wait, so it wasn't me going insane?!
For crying out loud…they just remove mods without telling me anything? Gah!
