Ability to delete inventory if it can't be sold
For the love of all that is holy, allow us to delete the unsellable garbage "stickers" that you keep doling out for completing a discovery queue. The cards from games are already annoying but at least I can get rid of them by selling them (albeit only for a few pennies).

You can not do anything with chat stickers. They are forever locked to your account.

This thread wouldn't exist if that were the case.

This thread wouldn't exist if you searched the forum first and posted in one of the many other threads asking for the same thing.

I checked the first page of this forum category and didn't bother searching further because I'd likely just be resurrecting a thread full of people arguing, people posting random irrelevant crap, and inevitably people then arguing about said irrelevant crap. I also don't read all the threads on steam in order to have known there's other threads without searching, like a certain someone who very recently posted in this thread.

I'd like better options for organizing the Steam inventory in general. Being able to hide or archive unused items would be nice.

None of the other threads had an answer either and Valve is always fine with users making additional threads about a topic.

Personally, i am indifferent about stickers, but i would say if someone wants to delete them from their account, they should have the ability to do so, and i am surprised Valve hadn't made it possible yet.

Because it's a low priority, insignificant issue. Stuff in inventory doesn't magically just appear there. The user has to deliberately do something that puts it there.

That being said, it's quite viable to have options for a hide/advanced hide for the inventory like we do for games. The only drawback would be that allows for another attack vector for scammers to try to convince someone that their account is "under review" by Steam.

Not magically, but definitely intentionally. It bothers me beyond belief because they show up as a notification, then they clog up your inventory. Then, for the rest of eternity, you have to look at zero effort gifs that no one (except morons) cares about every time you visit your inventory. They're more useless than NFTs. At least those involve the idea of money.

I assure you that is not true for all items. Had I been given the slightest preview of the wretched freebies from Steam's previous sale-related giveaways, they would have never come anywhere near my account. This was before I realized Valve apparently relishes in hiring the ugliest artists imaginable for these events (We had a brief reprieve with the steam sale girl artist but apparently we're back to disgusting art this year.) but the practical joke was on me all the same.

Since they have, to my knowledge, largely ceased with those sorts of blind giveaways (I sure as hell hope they have! I am not clicking anywhere near their sale catalogues now until a removal is added, so I certainly have not checked!), your statement is largely correct now.

Every few months I'm coming back to this forum just to suggest removal button for crappy items and then I realize somebody else did this few hours ago. However, we still can't do anything about that. C'mon Valve...

Remember to request the deletion through Steam support to remind them that the feature is still needed.

Ugly or beautiful, they're fcking useless all the same. I could care less who drew them, I don't want them regardless of quality.
