I tried to change filter settings for news, but as I could understand, some publishers may actually use random tags for news like these.

I suggest to add another news filter option called "merch", different from events and updates, and make devs and publishers use it instead of feeding people's main news pages with merch they'll never buy for a lot of reasons.

P.S. If there is some option to turn off merch promotion I'm not aware of, I would gladly learn about such thing.
