Go into the settings for the What's New shelf and show less of that particular type of update and only show updates for the games themselves.

i mean, i dont mind the update stuff, but the constant ads/news about other nonsense is quite annoying to say the least.
hide all the stuff, a week later you are spammed by irrelevant "news".
heck, pubg recently had my whole "shelf" filled with events/etc..., i hide it and i get more..., to the point i made a useless thread in their forums, asking them to stop spamming me with that stuff....
wish they never added that feature.
